Such a full and bright moon I never meet!
With wine cup in hand, to the sky I speak,
“Would you tell me what date is today
In the Moon Palace, and how to fete?”
I want to get home by wings in the air,
But so high is the jade moon I care,
Also for me extremely cold there.
Up and down to my shadow I dance,
As ease as a floating celestial part.
The moon reflects to the red house,
Leans to the silk curtains around,
Setting her light on the sleepless brow.
Man shouldn’t regret all the time,
But when parting why does she full shine?
Grief and joy often go with parting and meeting
The moon gets bright or dim as she does wax or wane
No one can get perfection in the lifelong lane
Cheers up with best wishes
To all men for God’s kisses!
